Opportunities exist for students to contribute to enhancing the student experience through various projects under the Students First Program Board.

We are seeking expressions of interest from current Macquarie University students who wish to participate in casual leadership roles available throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To collaborate with other student leaders and program board members in developing and implementing initiatives that support student well-being and success
  • To conduct research and gather evidence to inform decision making regarding student experience enhancements
  • To build relationships with students, staff, and senior executives to foster a positive and inclusive university environment
  • To communicate effectively with students on project outcomes and provide closure where necessary

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, postgraduate, or HDR degree at Macquarie University
  • Planning to enrol in at least one unit for Session 2
  • Have completed at least 2 study sessions at MQ
  • Demonstrate strong research, written, and verbal skills
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Capacity to promote change and build compelling arguments

This role is offered as a casual contract and will be remunerated at a rate consistent with industry standards.
