Job Title: Qualified Social Worker

As a qualified social worker, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to students facing various challenges in our Sydney or Melbourne campuses.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver comprehensive counselling services to students on matters such as pastoral care issues, cultural adjustment, health concerns, study stress and anxiety, accommodation, employment, personal crises, and refer students as required.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor programs, resources, and services that promote student wellbeing and experience.
  • Manage cases requiring support and refer to external agencies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with professional organisations and government agencies on support, referral, and advocacy.

Essential qualities include:

  • A degree in social work or a related field.
  • Experience in a higher education environment supporting students.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering student support programs.
  • High-level interpersonal and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to consult, counsel, and liaise with culturally diverse people.
