Job Description:

As a Rent Connect Officer, you will be responsible for assessing and responding to customer needs. This involves evaluating a customer's housing requirements and their ability to maintain a tenancy in the private market.

You will provide private rental assistance to customers with a housing need, including information, education, coaching, and advocacy to help them find, secure, and sustain private rental accommodation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and strengthening relationships with local real estate agents and lessors
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of the local rental market and available housing options
  • Participating in initiatives to improve inter-agency linkages and service delivery
  • Leveraging networks within the broader housing and support system

You will also lead, coach, and mentor Housing Officers in delivering basic Rent Connect services.

Additionally, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining a workplace safety culture, ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and integrated into daily operations.
