Job Title: Rental Support SpecialistKey Responsibilities:
  • Assess customer housing needs and provide rental assistance to help them find, secure, and sustain suitable private rental accommodation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local real estate agents and lessors, non-government and government human service providers, temporary accommodation providers, and local government agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the local rental market and housing options available.
  • Contribute to improving inter-agency linkages and service delivery through active participation in local initiatives.
  • Develop effective networks within the broader housing and support systems to enable appropriate referrals to support services.
  • Supervise staff and lead, coach, and mentor Housing Officers in delivering basic Rent Connect services.
