Department of Justice: Investigation and Assessment Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Investigation and Assessment Officer. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, working 73.50 hours per fortnight with flexible options available.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist the Health Complaints Commissioner in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Health Complaints Act 1995. This involves receiving and recording inquiries and complaints, facilitating quick resolution directly with service providers, and undertaking investigations into complaints.

The officer will also maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, prepare concise reports and correspondence, and formulate recommendations for improved procedures and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health Complaints Commissioner in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Health Complaints Act 1995.
  • Receive and record inquiries and complaints, and facilitate quick resolution directly with service providers.
  • Undertake investigations into complaints and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Prepare concise reports and correspondence resulting from the assessment, resolution, and investigation processes.

Desirable Requirements

The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
