Australia Sales Engineer Position for Earth Cutting Tooling

">Kennametal is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to join our team in Australia. This role will focus on promoting Earth Cutting Tooling solutions to construction and mining companies, driving sales growth and developing key accounts.
About the Role
">We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales, preferably in the earth cutting tooling industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of underground coal mining methods and be able to effectively communicate product information to customers.
Responsibilities

- Promote Earth Cutting Tooling solutions to construction and mining companies in Australia, driving sales growth and developing key accounts.">
- Assess and evaluate customer needs, developing appropriate sales strategies to meet their requirements.">
- Monitor competitors' activities in the market, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.">
- Manage distributor partners, driving them to increase sales year-over-year (YOY) and new business development for Earth Cutting Tooling.">
- Support team sales initiatives, gathering and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts.">
- Negotiate contracts, programs, and agreements with customers and vendors as applicable.">
- Carry out field trials of products, resolve customer complaints, gather competitive information, conduct seminars, and train on Earth Cutting Tooling products and applications.">
- Execute complex tasks and projects, perform analysis, and develop recommendations to support achieving business objectives.">
- Prepare progress, status, and forecast reports on multiple aspects of the assigned area of responsibility.">
Requirements

- Trade Certificate in an Engineering Discipline or work experience in Engineering Products &/or Engineering Diploma/Certificate, preferably with sales experience - minimum 5 years.">
- Desirable to have 3 - 5 years of experience in sales/application of Earth Cutting Tooling and/or Wear Products and handling construction and mining companies/contractors.">
- Should be competent in understanding and communicating all product and technical information effectively to customers.">
- Able to assess customer needs competently.">
- Willing to travel extensively from the defined territory to construction and mining sites.">
