SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000-$110,000 AUD.
Job DescriptionThis agronomy sales professional will provide technical support and product sales to farmers and producers in the region. Key responsibilities include:
- Building long-term client relationships and understanding clients' business goals
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Sharing technical and market information to improve clients' enterprise performance and sustainability
- Targeting new clients through superior sales and agronomic input
- Staying up-to-date with the latest plant production practices
- Coordinating field days and farmer meetings
- Being the go-to subject matter expert in the region for agronomic inputs and advice
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Established yourself as a trusted advisor in an agronomy role
- Demonstrated an understanding of products, seasonal timings, and general requirements of rural producers
- Sound customer service, organisational, administrative, and computing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of the sales process and strong sales activity and call cycle management
- A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field, and a current driver's license
