Agronomy Professional

As a key member of our team, you will provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in store and on farm.

1. Build long-term client relationships and develop a strong understanding of the clients' business goals.
2. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
3. Share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their enterprises.
4. Target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.
5. Keep up to date with the latest plant production practices.
6. Run and coordinate field days and farmer meetings.
7. Be the go-to subject matter expert in the region for agronomic inputs and other advice.

1. You will have established yourself as a trusted advisor in an agronomy role and demonstrate an understanding of the products, seasonal timings and general requirements of rural producers.
2. You will have sound customer service, organisational, administrative and computing skills.
3. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. You will have an understanding of the sales process and strong sales activity and call cycle management.
5. You will have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver's license.
6. Experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will be highly desirable.
