Job Opportunity: Behaviour Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Sydney and surrounding suburbs.

This role involves managing your own diary, supporting National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants with tailored, evidence-based therapies to help them achieve their goals.

You will work independently, conducting assessments and interventions with your case load, while planning, delivering, and evaluating psychosocial services to support NDIS participants.

Daily Tasks:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients across all age groups
  • Develop behaviour support plans that align with client NDIS goals, including short-term and long-term objectives
  • Collaborate with individuals to ensure the best plan is in place for each participant
  • Provide high-quality intervention and written reports to support client outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A recognised degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or related field
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
  • Knowledge of restrictive practices and governing legislations and regulations
  • Commitment to person-centred, evidence-based approach
  • Autonomy and ability to work flexibly
