Child Protection Practice Leader
Job Description:The Child Protection Practice Leader plays a pivotal role in creating equal opportunities for all Victorians, particularly children and families.
This role involves working in various community-based settings across metropolitan, rural, and regional Victoria to ensure safety, stability, and development of vulnerable populations.
As a key stakeholder in the Department's mission, the successful candidate will be responsible for endorsing case plans under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, providing expert advice, and leading child protection practitioners.
The leader will also collaborate with children, families, carers, and the community to prepare and convene case plan meetings, developing actions to achieve objectives within specified timeframes.
This position requires strong communication skills, case management expertise, and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Endorse case plans under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
- Provide expert case advice and guidance to practitioners
- Lead child protection practitioners in integrating theory and practice
- Collaborate with children, families, carers, and the community to prepare and convene case plan meetings
- Develop and implement actions to achieve case plan objectives
