About the Role

This Injury Management Advisor position offers an opportunity for an allied health professional to apply their clinical skills and knowledge in a compensable injury recovery setting. The role requires critical analysis of clinical information to advocate for best practice treatment and timely recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the claims team to create a high-performing team delivering positive outcomes to injured people and driving shareholder value.
  • Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims advisors, including interpreting medical reports and determining rehabilitation requirements.
  • Prepare professional written and verbal advice to claims advisors on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services.
  • Provide consistent injury management expertise to ensure ongoing quality decisions and input into claims strategy.
  • Share knowledge, coach, and mentor claims advisors to develop injury management capabilities.
  • Build relationships with best-in-class treatment and service providers to assist injured people meet their recovery goals.

Requirements

  • Degree in Allied Health related discipline is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2+ years clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirable.
  • Experience in the workers compensation scheme is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use technology platforms to manage caseload effectively.
  • Proficiency in managing difficult conversations with injured people, external health professionals, and legal professionals.
