Pre-Works Coordinator

About the Role
We're seeking a Pre-Works Coordinator to support our road network management team in Victoria. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in planning and scheduling maintenance and construction tasks on state and local road networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and optimize daily, weekly, and fortnightly works schedules in line with Section 750 PB requirements and approved maintenance programs.
- Create work packs, incorporating work instructions, HSE risk assessments/SWMS, traffic management, and access requirements.
- Assign labour, plant, and materials requirements to each job and dispatch work packs to qualified and equipped internal crews and delivery partners.
- Identify jobs requiring additional input or scoping onsite and liaise with Inspectors/Delivery crews to gather missing information.
About You
You'll have at least three years' experience in a road maintenance or civil works environment, including at least two years' experience carrying out detailed planning of maintenance and/or construction tasks on state or local road networks.
A committed team player with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement, you'll demonstrate:
- Detailed knowledge of work methodologies for road maintenance operations, including safety, traffic management, access, permit, and licensing requirements.
- Exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail in document control and data management.
- Sound understanding of asset management principles, underpinned by experience using work management information systems, GIS-based systems, planning, and scheduling tools, and Office 365 applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, evidenced by productive working relationships with colleagues and delivery partners.
- A relentless focus on workforce, road user, and community safety in your approach to all tasks.
