Minor Works Coordinator

About the Role
The Minor Works Coordinator is a key position within the Capital Works Team at RMIT University, responsible for the delivery of assigned minor works projects. This role requires a high level of project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and provide technical expertise to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of various project management practices, including investigating project user requirements, estimating project costing, and monitoring project progress. They will also be responsible for liaising with internal stakeholders across RMIT University and external project teams, such as architects, engineers, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver minor works projects, meeting deadlines, quality standards, and cost parameters.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Provide technical expertise and resolve issues or discrepancies.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
About the Team
The Capital Works Team is responsible for operating, maintaining, and enhancing the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University. The team has an operating budget in excess of $70M and prospective capital projects of over $50M per annum. RMIT's built environment involves approximately 109 buildings in Melbourne, spread across all of RMIT's campuses and sites.
