About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Primary K-6 teacher to join our team on a temporary full-time basis. As a Primary K-6 teacher, you will play a vital role in creating engaging and successful learning environments for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the physical, social, and intellectual development of students.
  • Structure lessons to meet the needs of students, with a strong focus on Religious Education.
  • Create and maintain safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments.
  • Implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans.
  • Evaluate teaching practice to ensure it meets the learning needs of students.
  • Use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and challenge students to improve their performance.
  • Operate effectively at all stages of the teaching and learning cycle.
  • Value opportunities to engage with the school community to enrich the educational context for students.
Requirements
  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Education.
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) - conditionally accredited teachers and new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience on student wellbeing focused programs and/or initiatives.
  • Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.
