Classroom Teacher

We are seeking a highly effective and skilled Classroom Teacher to join our team at Eileen O'Connor Catholic School. This is a permanent full-time role based at Prouille Catholic Primary School, Wahroonga.
About the SchoolEileen O'Connor Catholic School is a new and upcoming school in the Diocese of Broken Bay, providing quality education for students with a disability from kindergarten to Year 12. Our school is committed to providing an inclusive approach for students with disability and diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, assess, and monitor individual plans for each student in the support class, including behaviour and personal care support plans.
- Collaborate with CSBB teachers, Learning Partners, and external health and wellbeing service providers to ensure students are engaged in learning with successful outcomes.
- Facilitate safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive behaviour for learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Successful experience in building the capacity of teachers to support children with disability.
- Committed to supporting student wellbeing.
- Supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the Diocese of Broken Bay.
- Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner.
- Current knowledge of The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education.
- Current knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), its processes, and obligation to schools.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards an initial teacher education program in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.
- NESA accredited as Proficient or working towards Proficient accreditation.
- Accredited to be a teacher of Religious Education or in the process of completing RE accreditation (applicable for Primary teachers).
- Valid Working with Children Check.
