The Role of Employment Specialist is available at our organisation.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Employment Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for case management of allocated clients with a history of offending, providing support to improve their capacity to work and increase job placement opportunities.

The key aspects of this role include:

  • Case management with a focus on improving client capacity to work
  • Undertaking 'reverse marketing' to suitable employers
  • Running group-based job search sessions

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop positive relationships with clients, employers and staff, and a genuine passion for helping people find employment.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A drive for helping people find employment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive relationships
  • Ability to assess, match and refer clients to appropriate job opportunities
  • Strong administration skills and IT literacy
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain a Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development within their first 12 months of employment.

You will also be required to have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or willingness to study.
