Job Title: Senior Road DesignerMain Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled road designer to join our team in Perth. This role will focus on designing and developing major highway projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

  • Create detailed road designs using industry-standard software such as OpenRoads and Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with relevant standards;
  • Lead the delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed deadlines;
  • Provide technical input and innovative solutions to complex road design challenges, ensuring effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of design plans and documentation;
  • Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project;
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful, you will have-

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering;
  • Relevant road design skills and experience using OpenRoads, Civil 3D or 12D;
  • Experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects;
  • Proven experience in delivering MRWA ETS projects is highly desirable;
  • Capability to address unexpected challenges and find solutions that meet design criteria and budgetary constraints;
  • Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design and Main Roads' Supplements is essential, knowledge and experience in applying other road agencies standards within Australia is desirable.
