Senior Road Designer Position

Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced road designer to join our team in Perth. This role will focus on designing and developing major highway projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design detailed road networks using industry-standard software such as OpenRoads and Civil 3D, adhering to relevant standards.
  • Lead the delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed deadlines.
  • Provide technical input and innovative solutions to complex road design challenges, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Ensure accurate, clear, and concise production of project documents compliant with best practice and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • A suitable degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering is desirable.
  • Relevant road design skills and experience using OpenRoads, Civil 3D or 12D are essential.
  • Experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering MRWA ETS projects is highly desirable.
  • Capability to address unexpected challenges and find solutions that meet design criteria and budgetary constraints.
  • Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design and Main Roads' Supplements is essential; knowledge and experience in applying other road agencies standards within Australia is desirable.
