Civil Engineering Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Design Specialist to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our civil highways engineering team, you will apply your technical expertise and design management skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for road and highway projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Detailed Design Drafting: Prepare high-quality civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • MRWA Standards Compliance: Produce and review drawings to ensure alignment with Main Roads WA guidelines and specifications.
  • Documentation Preparation: Develop and manage detailed drawing sets, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, and detail sheets for tender, construction, and as-built purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with civil engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver coordinated drawing packages.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct self-checks and peer reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-12 years' civil drafting experience, preferably on major highway and road infrastructure projects in Western Australia.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D platforms, or Microstation.
  • Proven experience delivering projects for, or in partnership with, Main Roads WA, including familiarity with their Engineering and Technical Services Panel operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
