At Suntory Beverage & Food, we are introducing a new partnership between Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Beverage & Food. This partnership will be powered by two manufacturing sites, five distribution centers, and over 1500 employees across Australia and New Zealand.

We have a market-leading portfolio with over 40 brands, including Jim Beam and Maker's Mark Bourbon, Hibiki Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club Whisky, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. Our goal is to become the fourth-largest beverage player in the region, creating more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset.

This Key Account Manager role offers something unique and career-defining. As part of our build phase, you will play a key role in establishing work processes and building collaborative relationships with your assigned customers to enable the delivery of the Suntory Oceania strategy.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Building and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships with South Australia and Northern Territory's Key On and Off Premise customers and groups
  • Developing and executing best-in-class account plans, including Trading Terms, Joint Business plans, and promotional programs aligned to both the customer and Suntory strategic priorities
  • Buidling and executing a hunting pipeline for new business accounts across both South Australia and Northern Territory
  • Nurturing productive relationships with the state field sales team to drive excellent execution of plans at venue level
  • Delivering best practice ROI reviews, including course correction initiatives to grow when required
  • Taking a leadership role with the State Sales Manager that transcends functional responsibility
  • Championing On Premise capability within the state
  • Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Shopper marketing, Brand, and Finance across marketing activation, forecast, and trade spend optimization

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in account management within the FMCG industry, preferably in liquor. They should have strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, numeric and analytical problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. With a natural curiosity to influence culture during a dynamic and exciting phase of our business.
