Job Overview

The Junior Sous Chef plays a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.

This position involves leading the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef and ensuring that all culinary activities align with the Executive Chef's vision.

Key responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of food production, compliance, and hygiene within the Resort.

  • Ensure exceptional dining experiences by focusing on quality control.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Executive Chef to uphold the culinary standards and foster a positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and execute menus for guests and employees at the Monarto Safari Resort.
  2. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  3. Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef and ensure seamless operations.
  4. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu concepts and recipes.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position as Junior Sous Chef.
  2. Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to produce high-quality food and maintain attention to detail.
