Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager

Overview

The Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of a high-end restaurant, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that showcase seasonal ingredients, adapt to dietary restrictions, and offer unique dining experiences.
  • Recipe Creation and Development: Create and refine recipes that ensure consistency and quality, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Direct and assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to meet exacting standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality and taste, implementing corrective actions to maintain consistency.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing training and performance feedback to ensure seamless operations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage to maintain efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Cost Control: Monitor food costs and expenses, working to optimize profitability while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Hiring and Training: Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new staff members to ensure a skilled and efficient team.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive culinary experience in high-end restaurants or hotels.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
