About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Superintendent Operations Planning to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and forecasting operations, as well as providing leadership and guidance to a team of operations planners. This leadership role will see you lead and develop a team to deliver tactical designs and schedules that maximise asset value.

This is a full-time role with a Monday to Friday roster, with opportunities for flexible work arrangements. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment, and we expect all employees to uphold our values and code of conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and effective management of the Operations Planning team for seamless integration with execution teams.
  • Lead the identification and management of schedule risks, providing ongoing communications to relevant stakeholders and solution identification.
  • Encourage and develop a collaborative relationship with operational superintendents to deliver the operational budget in accordance with changing conditions.
  • Foster a safe and healthy work environment, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in mine planning, with a deep understanding of the key value drivers and mine planning strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence various stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, Deswik, and the Microsoft suite, including MS Project.
  • Experience with value-chain optimisation and with optimisation of mine planning processes.
  • Ability to identify and project manage improvement opportunities, and to build, promote, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • A strong desire to mentor and lead a team, and may have previous experience in a leadership role.
