Underground Project Superintendent

Job Summary
The Underground Project Superintendent will provide technical and operational leadership for the development of underground operations and supporting infrastructure at the Grange Resources mine site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of NPUG projects, including project planning, scheduling, construction of fixed infrastructure, and procurement of equipment.
- Manage tendering and contract processes for underground mining and construction projects.
- Provide senior-level engineering support for underground civil infrastructure, mine dewatering, and material handling systems.
- Act as a liaison between the Underground Project Director, Design Team, and External Contractors.
- Continually identify and implement opportunities to improve the infrastructure design and schedules.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with Grange Resources company policies, especially in the cultural, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering.
- Previous experience with underground project implementation in a leadership role.
- Experience with caving operations (Sublevel Caving or Block Cave) would be beneficial.
- Previous experience with project scheduling and project management would be beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organisation and reporting skills.
- Current full manual driver's licence.
- Computer literacy in the following software:
- Mine Planning Packages such as Surpac and Deswik.
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
- Navisworks.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and inspire trust.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements for underground mining and OHS requirements.
- Ability to collaborate with technical consultants and adhere to the Grange Project Management Process.
