Job Overview

The role of a Sports Coordinator involves leading and managing various activities and team sports for students in Years K–12. This includes leading fitness training sessions for Senior School athletes as part of the Strength & Conditioning team.

This position will also manage representative pathways, athlete education, and athlete support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a variety of activities and team sports for students in Years K–12.
  • Lead fitness training sessions for Senior School athletes as part of the Strength & Conditioning team.
  • Manage representative pathways, athlete education, and athlete support.
  • Collaborate with the Sports Department to deliver and attend sports carnivals and events.
  • Manage and organise the Duke of Edinburgh camps.
Requirements
  • A strong background in Water Polo and Strength and Conditioning is highly desirable.
  • A Level 1 ASCA qualification (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
  • Ability to work across various sports (Netball, Basketball, Touch Football, Badminton, Volleyball).
  • Previous experience in schools (highly beneficial).
  • Understanding of IGSA and IPSHA representative sports pathways (highly beneficial).
  • Excellent organisational, administration, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to organise sports programs, trials, training, and games.
  • Availability to work outside regular school hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, Saturdays, and during non-term time and sports trips/tours.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport or related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Able to motivate and engage students to participate in sports.
