Job Description

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our Para Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of para sport, classification, and athlete development.

The successful applicant will be responsible for driving the implementation and operational delivery of our national approach to identifying and developing future para athletes, coaches, and support staff. This role will play a pivotal part in increasing the numbers of pre-categorised athletes demonstrating potential to progress to elite level competition.

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and develop para athletes and coaches
  • Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders to achieve shared high-performance development outcomes
  • Collaborate with experts to create and deliver high-performance support services and environments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in para sport with a good understanding of classification and para-athletes
  • Tertiary qualifications in sport management, sport science, or another relevant field
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Valid Driver's Licence

This is a two-year full-time fixed-term position with a possible extension dependent on government funding. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $132,993 - $145,461 plus superannuation.

You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status, or a visa permitting you to work in Australia.
