Senior Human Resources Business Partner

This is a senior-level role that offers the opportunity to shape and influence the organisation's people strategy. As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives, driving initiatives that strengthen engagement, build capability, and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead investigations and resolve complex ER matters with discretion and authority.
  • Provide expert IR advice, including award interpretation, EBAs, and Fair Work compliance.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning, remuneration reviews, and compliance frameworks.
  • Design and deliver leadership and capability programs to build a high-performing culture.
  • Lead engagement, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives that strengthen retention and culture.
  • Partner with senior managers and executives to embed best-practice HR solutions across the business.
  • Contribute to recruitment strategies for critical roles and succession planning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction, engineering, or heavy industry - essential.
  • 5–8+ years' HR experience, including strong exposure to complex ER and IR.
  • Demonstrated capability partnering with senior leaders to deliver strategic HR outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of industrial frameworks, EBAs, and award interpretation.
  • Proven track record in project delivery, change management, and culture initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
