The Residential Property Officer role plays a vital part in ensuring the Department provides suitable accommodation for health service staff. This position involves managing residential accommodations for various stakeholders, following established policies and procedures.

This includes overseeing all aspects of residential property management, from contracts to maintenance, as well as coordinating tenancies and services. Strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, agency staff, and contractors.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in real estate or property management, including understanding of relevant legislation such as the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.
  • High-level communication and relationship management skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Strong organisational skills, including financial management, initiative, prioritisation, and adaptability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
