Residential Property Officer Job Overview
\The Residential Property Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that suitable accommodation is provided to eligible staff, contractors, and visitors in southern Tasmania.
\This position involves managing accommodation contracts, coordinating tenancies, furnishing, service connection, maintenance, and cleaning.
\The officer will need to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in real estate or property management, including understanding of relevant legislation such as the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.
\They will also require strong organisational skills, including financial management, initiative, prioritisation, capacity, creativity, adaptability, and flexibility to develop solutions, handle pressure, ambiguity, and change, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
\- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in real estate or property management
- High-level interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication, relationship management, judgment, and assertiveness with stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, including financial management, initiative, prioritisation, capacity, creativity, adaptability, and flexibility
The officer will be the primary contact for all accommodation-related issues in the area, liaising, negotiating, and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders and tenants.
\They will work under the broad direction of the Manager - Residential Accommodation and will be required to maintain accurate records and reports on accommodation arrangements.
\The successful candidate will have a current Driver's Licence and will be required to undergo pre-employment checks.
\Eligible candidates will also receive professional development opportunities, a range of leave entitlements, and access to fitness facilities.
