Job Summary

As a Product Application Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as the technical authority on protection relay portfolios. This role requires deep technical expertise in protection relays and systems, with a passion for solving complex challenges.

You will partner with sales, presales, and channel teams to deliver best-in-class solutions to customers. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support, design consultation, and compliance guidance for pre-sales and tender opportunities.

Additionally, you will lead technical training sessions, workshops, and product demonstrations for both internal teams and external stakeholders. You will interpret single-line diagrams, coordinate protection studies, and develop optimized relay settings.

Your success in this role will contribute to the development of local market strategies and ensure that our solutions meet customer needs.

  • Strong knowledge of IEC, ANSI, and Australian protection standards
  • Practical experience with Schneider Electric protection relays (or equivalent platforms)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system design layouts
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in protection systems, ideally in the Australian market
  • Ability to align technical solutions with customer needs, support value-based selling and contribute to commercial success
  • Willingness to travel across Australia for client and site support
