About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Assistant at our Alice Springs Tourist Facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience to visitors from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and host tourist groups through the facility, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Facilitate school visits, educational events, and local community activities, promoting the Royal Flying Doctor Service's mission and values.
  • Manage advanced bookings and provide quality customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.
  • Assist with stock control, pricing, storage, and displaying of merchandise, as well as stocktake duties as required.
  • Complete point of sale RFDS SA/NT merchandise purchases and provide a positive, lasting experience for all visitors.
  • Assist with maintaining the Tourist Facility's cleanliness and tidiness.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A bright and enthusiastic personality, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to speak confidently to groups.
  • Previous retail sales and point of sale/cash handling experience, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a high level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Previous experience in the Tourism Industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work a roster Monday to Sunday, with hours varying between 8:45AM– 5:15PM (weekend work and public holiday work may be required).
