Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controls Business Analyst to join our team at Bluefin Resources. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for driving financial process improvement, standardization, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Mentor Teams: Lead and mentor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Expense Management teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial transactions.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvements by investigating, analyzing, and documenting business processes for ongoing standardization and optimization.
  • Project Management: Facilitate project meetings and provide business process mapping expertise, ensuring end-to-end processes are streamlined and aligned with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships with business users and offer strategic, innovative solutions to enhance operations.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and support team members with business analysis, process improvement, and tool application.
  • Communication: Oversee communications with internal and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes and mitigate risks.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications in accounting, ideally with completed CA or CPA.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in financial controls, accounting processes, and applying policies in a large, complex environment.
  • Methodologies: Expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPM) - Certification highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proven ability to facilitate workshops, present to diverse groups, and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and a track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working in the tertiary education sector or similar large organizations is highly regarded.
