**Overview of the Organisation**:
Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) is a leading independent medical research institute whose vision is to prevent and cure disease and disability of the brain and nervous system through leadership, excellence and innovation in neuroscience research. NeuRA has world-class research facilities and is based at Randwick in Sydney.
**Overview of the Role**:
We seek an experienced commercial lead to drive the growth and success of StandingTall, an innovative digital health solution for fall prevention in older adults. This role will be pivotal in transitioning our evidence-based research into a commercially viable product, leading our go-to-market strategy, and securing the necessary funding for business expansion.

You are a visionary leader with a proven track record in successfully launching and scaling tech-based startups in the health sector. Your expertise in developing go-to-market strategies, building client pipelines, and securing investments is crucial for our transition from research to commercial success. We need your entrepreneurial spirit and commercial acumen to guide StandingTall through its next growth phase and establish it as a leading digital health solution in fall prevention.
**Responsibilities of the Role**:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan and go-to-market strategy
- Build and manage a prospective client pipeline, focusing on healthcare providers, aged care facilities, and health districts
- Determine capital requirements and lead fundraising efforts
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and investment opportunities
- Work highly collaboratively with the Senior Researcher and Scientific Founder of StandingTall Pty Ltd to
- Oversee product development and ensure alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with research teams to maintain scientific integrity while driving commercial objectives
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, investors, and regulatory bodies
- Lead and grow the commercial team as the business expands
**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in leadership roles within tech-based startups, preferably in the digital health sector
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for innovative products
- Strong track record in fundraising, with experience in securing investments from venture capital, angel investors, or other funding sources
- Experience in building and managing client pipelines in the healthcare or aged care sectors
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape for digital health products, including familiarity with the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial projections
