Lead Technical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lead technical manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading engagement with clients and stakeholders across diverse maritime projects, including defence, ports authorities, oil & gas, renewable energy, and international aid.

Key responsibilities include project and design management to add value across the project lifecycle and ensure delivery of outputs to requirement, quality, program, and budgetary expectations. You will also coordinate and manage project teams and mentor less experienced team members, as well as contribute to proposal preparation and bids for projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • A proven track record in technical leadership and management of maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Approximately 15-20 years of professional experience in planning, assessment, analysis, design, and remediation of maritime structures (e.g. wharves, jetties, ship lifts, pontoons, seawalls, etc).
  • Demonstrated experience and proven ability to lead/direct multidisciplinary teams in delivering large projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant standards and industry best practices, familiarity with international design standards.
  • Experience in identifying/pursuing opportunities and building relationships with clients to drive growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering with relevant registration/chartership (RPEQ/CPEng).
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance is preferred.
