About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value accounts in Western Australia, driving incremental sales and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts to understand their needs and agree on mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Utilize data and insights to provide accurate quarterly business forecasts and identify areas for sales growth.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align customer strategies and negotiate contracts that meet both parties' needs.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure contract performance aligns with targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of RS's product ranges, technologies, and value-added services to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
  • May be required to support and cover line manager in times of absence.
  • Responsible for achieving portfolio Corporate Account Sales, growth, and GM targets.
  • Responsible for driving sales in other Corporate Account sites within a specified geography.

Requirements

  • Relevant technical experience/qualification and/or sales experience within a technical environment.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and initiative.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on profit margin.
  • Commercial awareness, particularly around cost of acquisition/profitability and procurement trends.
  • E-commerce knowledge/experience.
  • Sales and negotiation skills and techniques.
  • Account management experience.
  • Store and supply agreement/contract experience.
  • Ability to cross-reference products using specifications and technical parameters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience of using a CRM.
  • Customer-focused attitude (internal and/or external).
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels.
