Job Title: National Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced National Operations Manager to join our team at ADM. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our national storage operations and alternative export pathway programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of ADM's internal operations in Australia
  • Navigate the ADM's Grain Origination System (GOS) and execution program efficiency
  • Contract management and ensure all sales contracts are received and accurate for the forward export program
  • Check all terms of contract to mitigate risk on execution
  • Monitor inventory position against forward contracts and coordinate with the Domestic Logistics coordinators
  • Understand and align ADM's sales with acquired capacity and mitigate costs
  • Manage Container Team and packing agreements
  • Export documentation knowledge and experience
  • Understand and be involved in local and overseas reporting requirements
  • Familiarity with GTA/GAFTA trade rules, freight differentials, and grain quality specifications
  • Advance knowledge of Documentary Credits and banking channels (UCP600, ISP98, ISBP, Bills of Exchange)
  • Assist Site Managers (internal and third party) to ensure efficient Bulk vessel loading
  • Assist Managing Director with cost models as required

Your Profile:

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in working in Agriculture and understanding the requirements of a national operations in logistic programs. You should be degree qualified in Agriculture, Commerce, Logistics/Supply Chain Management or similar field, with additional capabilities including:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience
  • Awareness of issues and influences with respect to grain markets and/or agriculture industries
  • Experience in risk reporting
  • Direct experience or exposure to a farming operation or grain storage and handling business
  • Strong Business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong report writing and statistical analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Drive to build fulfilling business relationships to maintain Key account relationships
