**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in the Sydney CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the NSW Government on a contract basis with the view to extend.

The successful candidate will have strong administration and communication skills, with experience in facilities administration particularly in office moves. You will be working within a small, friendly, and supportive team that covers diverse functions, handling a fast-paced environment with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support services to the Procurement and Facilities Unit, including processing online orders, requisitions, and non-standard store items.
  • Process and certify invoices for payment, prepare information for purchase orders, and organise payments of goods and services requested by the Office.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including coordinating staff and visitor security access passes.
  • Assist in managing and problem-solving common facilities/maintenance issues, supervising contractors attending the office.
  • Support the logistics of the office relocation in late 2024, including cleaning up and packing activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in facilities administration, particularly in office moves.
  • SAP or similar system experience highly desirable, as well as exposure to procurement.
  • Strong attention to detail, high-level communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good organisational skills, sound judgment when prioritising problems and challenges.
  • Stakeholder management skills, efficient, effective customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $42 per hour, with superannuation benefits. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. The contract is initially through to 31st March 2025, with the potential for extension.
