This role plays a pivotal part in our Line 1 Risk and Compliance Team. The Incident Management Specialist will provide guidance and support to the team and key stakeholders in the end-to-end management of incidents, including conducting thorough root cause analysis and assessing incidents.
This involves identifying opportunities for process or control improvements, recommending enhancements or new controls, and contributing to delivering balanced business outcomes while continuously improving Fund processes and controls.
Your Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with incident owners to conduct initial investigations, gathering information to assess the nature and impact of incidents and support effective management and resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for process or control improvements where applicable.
- Assist in identifying and developing sustainable, commercially viable solutions to prevent future incidents.
- Proactively monitor incidents, ensuring they are managed effectively and all key activities are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Maintain the integrity of incident and breach reporting data to support accurate reporting and generate insights that improve decision-making.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in operations, risk or compliance, preferably in financial services.
- Superannuation experience is highly advantageous.
- Experience in incident, breach and/or fraud management is highly desirable, including use of GRC technologies.
- A working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, including incident and breach management.
- A strong understanding of controls management practices, including root cause analysis.
- A critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a structured approach to solving problems.
- Strong written and oral communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas to a range of audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
