Incident Analysis Specialist

The member compliance team provides support, guidance, and monitoring of first-line compliance matters across the member domain.

In this fixed-term role, you'll play a key part in the incident assessment function. This includes reviewing and evaluating incidents for potential regulatory breaches, identifying systemic issues, collaborating with colleagues on rectification efforts, and managing root causes.

Your responsibilities will encompass data collection and reporting, training and supporting colleagues on compliance processes, maintaining and updating documentation, tools, and processes, as well as providing administrative support as needed.

  • Investigate reported incidents to determine if they constitute potential regulatory breaches.
  • Analyse incident details, gather relevant evidence, and document findings.
  • Evaluate incidents with potential regulatory breaches or which are complex in line with required processes.
  • Identify patterns and trends in incidents to uncover underlying systemic issues.
  • Assist incident owners to develop strategies to address and manage root causes.
  • Develop training materials and resources to facilitate learning and understanding.

Requirements include 3+ years' experience in a similar role within financial services, strong knowledge of superannuation and financial advice laws, proven ability to work in cross-functional project teams, excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills, and high personal integrity.
