Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Credit Portfolio Manager to join our client's Fixed Income team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing VFMC's direct exposures to primarily Australian-domiciled credit invested via bonds, loans, structured credit, and credit derivatives.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial services, with a background in banking or transaction management. A tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, or accounting, along with relevant postgraduate study or a CFA qualification, would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Analysis: Conduct due diligence on potential and existing credit investments, undertaking qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on individual credits in the Australian market.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist in the preparation and presentation of investment approval documentation, manage documentation preparation and execution, and settle loan securities.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reporting and updates on portfolio positioning and performance, contributing to discussions on market and economic trends within the Credit, Fixed Income, and Investment Teams.
  • Risk Management: Undertake appropriate risk and compliance monitoring, ensuring adherence to assigned risk management activities.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial modeling, including three-way statement models, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proactive and independent thinkers who can collaborate across the organization are encouraged to apply.

Salary Estimate

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.
