About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Manager to join our Pay team at Latitude. As a key member of our credit risk cards team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of sustainable growth through initiatives that centre around the optimisation of credit risk origination and account management strategies for the Australian and New Zealand credit card portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a key contributor to the credit risk cards team, upholding the values placed on high quality, comprehensive and accurate insights that are both relevant and actionable.
  • Responsibility of assessing the risk/reward trade-offs of key Pay business growth initiatives, including optimising origination policy to balance volume growth, credit risk exposure, operational overhead and complexity all within the credit risk appetite.
  • Utilise suitable and proven credit related information, such as credit scoring, account management, external data and captured origination and behaviour data, to ensure that all risk reward trade-offs fall within legal, regulatory and Latitude values.
  • Be accountable for the forecasted benefits associated with each strategy change and provide regular updates of the performance to the wider business, which may include updates in key business forums.
  • Take ownership of strategy changes, ensuring they are implemented as per the risk requirements, including making sure that changes to credit risk strategies are fully tested and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the performance of the portfolio, identifying trends and communicating them to the wider business in a clear and concise manner.
  • Be the senior credit risk SME as required in cross departmental work and activities, be that within specific projects or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Provide tactical and strategic support in the areas of Risk management and risk oversight, working with the Pay leadership, Line 2 Risk and operations.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in a numerate or relevant commercial discipline.
  • A successful track record in Consumer Credit Risk Management.
  • Ability to code in SAS/SPSS/SQL to extract, analyse and make recommendations for specific pieces of analytics.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with capabilities to articulate complex analytical information.
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders – both at a peer and senior level.
  • Commercial business acumen.
  • Collaborative, team player.
  • Constantly seeks to challenge the way things are done.
  • Comfortable in making decisions & taking accountability.
  • Ability to demonstrate the Latitude values and behaviours.
