Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in returning to work and regaining independence. This opportunity is part of our regional team of allied health professionals in Western Australia, where you will have the chance to travel and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert return-to-work services to assist injured clients and their employers in achieving safe and sustainable outcomes.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all customers, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements regarding return-to-work rates, costs, and durations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments at worksites, homes, and other locations to identify Return to Work (RTW) barriers and develop effective strategies to overcome them.
  • Liaise closely with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Implement services according to customer SLAs and provide high-level rehabilitation services across various portfolios, including new employer and same employer goals.
  • Participate in critical case reviews to drive strategy and ensure excellent rehabilitation outcomes on all claims.
  • Represent the organization at public forums and on committees as required, promoting our mission and values.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Chiropractic, or Physiotherapy, accredited by the relevant Australian authority.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, with a current vehicle and driver's license.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other professionals.
  • Determination to consistently deliver high-quality customer service, meeting the needs of diverse clients.
  • A keen sense of punctuality and time management, allowing for efficient delivery of services.
