We are seeking an experienced and innovative Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team at Roseville Retirement Living in Doncaster East.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food safety, and staff management. They will work closely with the Community Manager and hospitality staff to deliver exceptional catering and hospitality services that exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen team to provide high-quality food and beverage services to guests.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards and protocols.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to plan and execute events, functions, and promotions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a retirement village or similar setting.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or equivalent qualifications.
- Qualified Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and train staff.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
