Chef Manager Job Description
At Aveo, we're seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our residents. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for overseeing all kitchen and dining operations, providing guidance to your team, and creating fresh ideas to enhance our menu offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen and dining operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and high-quality food presentation.
- Provide guidance and support to your team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas, taking into account resident preferences and dietary requirements.
- Work closely with our food and beverage team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring the restaurant is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Monitor daily food safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies.
- Complete stock management, including ordering, rotation, and amendments, to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Complete staff rostering, manage development and hiring, and ensure your team delivers outstanding service to customers.
- Follow up on day-to-day operational issues, including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists, and performance issues.
Requirements:
- Experience in a casual dining kitchen setting, preferably in a retirement village or similar environment.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required).
- Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (required).
- Kitchen management experience, including ordering stock, rostering, and admin experience.
- Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required).
