A challenging opportunity exists for a highly skilled Chief Financial Strategist to join Qantas Group. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be able to deliver clear accounting and reporting advice.

Estimated Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per annumLocation: Mascot NSWAbout the Role

The Chief Financial Strategist will play a key role in supporting the Group External Reporting Manager at half-year and year-end, ensuring timely and accurate Statutory reporting. This includes taking on more complex accounting notes and disclosures, liaising with external auditors, and subsidiary accounts reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  2. Provide expert accounting advice and guidance to segment finance teams and non-finance teams.
  3. Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  4. Support the Group External Reporting Manager in preparing technical accounting papers and reviewing contracts for accounting risks.
Requirements
  1. Masters degree in a business-related discipline and accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a Big 4 / Mid-tier auditing firm or a similar industry.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear accounting and reporting advice.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
