Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Machine Specialist to join our Brandt Tractor team. As a key member of our Product Support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our Service Departments to solve customer machine issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical assistance requests from our Service Departments using our Case Contact Management System (CCMS) software.
  • Develop Brandt Technical Assistance Center (BTAC) Technical Solutions by identifying emerging issues in the field that can generate additional revenue.
  • Develop repair procedures for emerging issues, product improvements, and warranty work to increase technician efficiencies and revenue.
  • Identify Relife and sales opportunities.
  • Create and maintain the Technical Solution database.
  • Utilize John Deere Service Advisor Remote.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitor alerts received from machines through various software platforms.
  • Work closely with Machine Monitoring, Brandt Service times, and Proactive Maintenance teams to address equipment abnormalities, quote more efficiently, and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate the appropriate actions to the Service Departments.
  • Follow up on previous recommendations to ensure problem resolution and identify learning opportunities.
  • Provide coverage during peak times for Machine Monitoring Specialists.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Qualified heavy-duty technician certificate or equivalent work experience in the industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of service experience recommended.
  • Strong background in computer applications and analytics.
  • Knowledge of Agriculture equipment and dealership service departments.
  • Ability to filter and correlate different data sources to create an accurate recommendation.
  • Knowledge of machine application, design, functionality, and understanding the environmental effect on equipment performance.
  • Understand effective inspection process and equipment lifecycle planning.
  • Travel may be required.
