Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency
Details: The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) People and Capability Branch is seeking a highly organised Administration Officer to support the Safety and Wellbeing Team.
This role provides high-level administrative support, including managing the team’s central mailbox, responding to queries or escalating matters as appropriate, providing secretariat support to the Directorate’s WHS consultative committees, and coordinating WHS events and programs.
In this role you will work with a team of enthusiastic Work Health and Safety professionals committed to improving the safety culture and outcomes across CMTEDD. The position requires excellent communication skills and demonstrated knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite.
Eligibility/Other requirements: A Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience is desirable, but not necessary.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of nine months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
Please note, this position works from a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
