Do you thrive on shaping strategic direction and driving cultural transformation?

Infrastructure Canberra (iCBR) is seeking a collaborative leader to join our Culture and Industry Branch as Senior Director, Strategy and Planning.

This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic planning and performance across iCBR, while overseeing First Nations engagement and contributing to industry collaboration initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior executives to embed cultural integrity, drive innovation, and foster a values-based culture that supports wellbeing, high performance and collective success.

What You’ll Do

As Senior Director, you will:

- Lead the development and implementation of organisational strategy and business planning across iCBR.
- Oversee iCBR’s First Nations function, providing strategic advice and ensuring cultural values are embedded across the organisation.
- Collaborate with the Culture and Industry team to deliver integrated industry engagement programs.
- Design and implement change initiatives that uplift capability and foster continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor a small team delivering high-quality advice and support to senior leadership.

We’re Looking for Someone With:

- Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead First Nations initiatives and build genuine partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and industry stakeholders.
- High-level analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Integrity, cultural competence, and a commitment to ACTPS and iCBR values.
- Resilience and adaptability in navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive transformation and build trust.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

- Qualifications in communications, change management, human resources or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience are highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 07 November 2025 until 06 November 2026 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
