About the role

If successful, asSenior CaseManagerHSPyou will work collaboratively aspart of the Humanitarian Settlement Program Team to provide highlevel case management, information and referral services to HSPclients with complex needs. You will also provide informalsupervision and leadership to Case Managers, Client Support Workersand Orientation Guides in the team, and identify opportunities forservice innovation.

To be considered for this role, you will be able todemonstrate the following key selection criteria:

- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Applied Social Services,Counselling or other relevant allied health field; ORaDiploma in Community Services (Case Management), AND atleast 2 years' experience working from a case management modelwith vulnerable and complex cases
- Current valid Driver Licence for Victoria and access to ownvehicle with comprehensive insurance for work purposes
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee) forVictoria
- Effective interpersonal, cross cultural communication andclient advocacy skills and the ability to liaise effectivelywith contractual partners, mainstream and settlement serviceproviders as well as clients and their communities, andvolunteers
- Demonstrated ability to undertake case management withclients with complex needs
- Demonstrated ability to support and mentor staff
- Sound understanding of current Commonwealth and Statepolicies related to immigration, community detention, incomesupport and other relevant social policies and demonstratedability to respond flexibly to changing policy and programneeds
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well ascollaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams toachieve/exceed key performance goals
- Demonstrated high level written communication, reportwriting, word processing, organisational and time managementskills
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability,teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES AustraliaVision and demonstrated commitment to performance management,quality and continuous improvement principles
- Proficiency with IT standard software such as MS Word, MSExcel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to use Internet and e-mailand other online products
- Proficiency in Arabic OR Dari/Pashto is desirable
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in providing effectiveadvanced or complex case management is desirable
