About the Company

Join an Australian‑owned leader in the civil infrastructure space, established over four decades ago. A company that prides itself on operating with strong core values and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact by supporting local communities. Their work is foundational—both in the projects they deliver and in the careers they build. They are seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to help shape the next chapter of their high‑performing culture.

The Opportunity

We are searching for a highly experienced and strategic HR professional to join the team as a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP).

This is a critical, hands‑on strategic role where you will be the key HR interface for senior business leaders. You will directly influence organisational performance, drive significant cultural change initiatives, and elevate the people‑first agenda. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully partnering with executive and operational leaders in industrial or construction environments to translate business strategy into impactful people outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior HRBP, you will be a change agent and strategic coach:

- Strategic Coaching & Culture: Proactively coach and empower Senior Leaders and Managers to foster a high‑performance, values‑driven culture and build exceptional leadership capability across the business.

- Cultural & Change Leadership: Design and lead focused cultural change initiatives that significantly enhance employee engagement, retention, and well‑being across all operational sites.

- Talent & Capability Building: Design and facilitate targeted development programs that build critical leadership skills and future‑proof our talent pipeline.

- RTW: Partner with the HSEQ Advisors in Return‑to‑Work cases (RTW), ensuring that these are well managed.

- Strategic IR/ER Management: Partner with managers to provide expert, commercial advice and resolution on complex Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) matters.

- HR Strategy Implementation: Drive and execute the full employee life‑cycle strategy, ensuring seamless delivery of all core HR services while providing strategic counsel on all people‑related decisions.

- Best Practice & Compliance: Maintain expertise on evolving HR trends, legislation, and best practices to continuously elevate the HR function and ensure regulatory compliance.

Essential Skills & Experience

- A tertiary degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

- 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 3 years operating as a strategic HR Business Partner or in a similar senior leadership support role.

- Strong, hands‑on understanding of the building, construction, or civil infrastructure industry is highly regarded.

- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing impactful HR strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

- Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage credibly at all levels of the organisation.

- Ability to travel interstate to key operational sites when required (essential).

How to Apply

If you are an experienced, commercially‑minded HR professional who is ready to take on a strategic partner role within a long‑established, values‑based Australian leader, we encourage you to apply.

Please submit your resume along with a cover letter that clearly outlines your experience in a strategic HRBP role and specifically highlights your exposure to the industrial/construction environment.
